Alpha Release 0.2.8


Updates:

  • Added a start page,  before the main menu.
  • Reduced the movement speed on the Goblin Warlock, Goblin Archer, and Goblin underling from 400 to 300.
  • Added basic pathfinding for the player and enemies.
  • Enemies now more intelligently organize themselves when attacking the player in large groups.
  • The enemies are now predetermined (2 Goblin Underlings, 2 Goblin Archers, 1 Goblin Warlock) and spawn in predetermined locations.

Bug fixes:

Fixed the following issues:

  • Stuttering after loading into the game, after the main menu.
  • The player wouldn't die correctly if they died while hitstunned, blocking, or attacking.
  • Couldn't update to the latest version without clearing browser history.
  • The player could block, and get hitstunned, while they were already blocking or getting hitstunned.
  • Enemies weren't being affected by their attributes.
  • The player could block while dead.
  • Enemies would continually attack the player after he died.
  • The loading screen would sometimes go away before shadows had finished loading.
  • Enemies were walking through solid objects.
  • The player wouldn't face the correct direction when walking perfectly horizontally or vertically into an object.
  • Enemies sometimes wouldn't transition from attacking back to walking if the player left their attack range.
  • The interaction area around NPCs, loot, etc. was incorrectly shaped.
